Biosynthesis is a somatic Psychotherapy method that was developed by David Boadella and is based on the energetic theories of Wilhelm Reich, and the discoveries made by Francis Mott and Frank Lake about prenatal and perinatal processes. It has also been heavily influenced by Stanley Keleman’s research into the formative process and emotional anatomy.
The word “Biosynthesis” means “integration of life” and works with self-formation processes, which encourage organic growth, personal development and integrity.
As a psychotherapeutic method it asks questions to the body, the mind and the spirituality treating the human as a complete being. The aim of the therapy is to bring together these three aspects where the person feels a sense of fulfilment and homeliness.
As therapeutic tools we use speech, movement, breathing and emotional nourishment and release techniques that ultimately aim to restore the energy flow and bring peace. Biosynthesis works deep with trauma, while maintaining a safe environment for healing.
